Principal/Mission
Santa Fe Trail is an amazing place to learn and grow. It is an honor and a privilege to serve the children of the Trailblazer community.
Our building opened its doors in 1953 and has gone through multiple renovations. It now serves approximately 300 students from our neighborhood community (Pre-K through 6th grade). Our building family also contains a district self-contained program and the north area Enhanced Learning program. The YMCA has a program for 3-year-olds in the building and provides before and after school care for our students. Our sixth graders go on to Hocker Grove Middle School, and then feed into Shawnee Mission North High School.
Santa Fe Trail’s reputation has been built on strong academic progress, meeting the needs of individual learners, a dedicated faculty and a supportive PTA. The staff works to meet the needs of each student through effective, focused, engaging instruction that is data driven.
Our team of students, parents, faculty and staff support each other in all we do to empower our students to achieve their personal best! As a collective group, we look forward to continuing to build on the tradition of excellence that we have established at Santa Fe Trail.
